Tesla Field Meter
This application measures the magnitude of the magnetic field. The Tesla Meter will respond to a static magnetic field as well as the magnetic field radiated through the application of alternating current.
Full Scale & AC / DC Modes
The Tesla Field Meter displays the magnetic field strength in analog and digital meter modes. Full scale can be set at either 100 microtesla or 1.0 millitesla. Additionally the Tesla Field Meter can be set to alternating current (ac) or direct current (dc) measurement modes where ac removes the stationary magnetic field.
Time Graph Mode
Use the Time Graph Mode to visualize how the magnetic field is temporally changing. When coupled with the ac mode the Tesla Field Meter will enable the realtime visualization of spatially moving magnetic anomalies.
The research on the adverse biological affects in the presence of magnetic fields, whether static or alternating, is inconclusive, so it's best to practice prudent avoidance. Low level magnetic fields are naturally generated by the Earth. Higher level magnetic fields are generated from microwave ovens as well as the clock radio next to your bedside.
Use this Tesla Meter to make a qualitative assessment of the strength of magnetic field exposure.
