Heart Rate & Apple Watch

My HR chart is empty or heart rate isn't being tracked

Work through these in order:

  1. Check your Apple Watch fit. A loose Watch can prevent the HR sensor from locking on. Make sure it's snug on your wrist before starting a session.
  2. Verify all Health permissions are enabled. Open the Health app on your iPhone, tap the circle with your initials or photo in the top-right corner, then go to Privacy → Apps → Tera 7.83. Confirm that Heart Rate (Read and Write) and Workouts are all turned on. If any are off, enable them and start a new session.
  3. HR data from the first 15–30 seconds is normal to be missing. The Watch sensor takes a moment to lock on — see the question below for details.

You can also re-enable Health access from inside the app: tap the Health Permissions Needed banner on the home screen if it appears, or go to Settings → Enable Advanced Tracking.

Permissions can be accidentally turned off if you tapped "Maybe Later" during Premium setup, or toggled a permission off in the Health app.

Why is heart rate data missing from the start of my session?

Apple Watch HR monitoring typically takes 15–30 seconds to start after a session begins. The sensor needs a moment to lock on, and the Watch app needs to establish a connection with your iPhone.

For best results, put your Watch on and make sure it's snug before starting a session. HR tracking will begin automatically — you don't need to do anything on the Watch.

If you notice a longer delay (over a minute) on the very first session after installing or reinstalling the app, that is normal. The Watch app re-establishes its connection after a fresh install, and subsequent sessions return to the usual startup time.

My Apple Watch isn't connecting during sessions

Check the following:

  1. Make sure the Tera 7.83 Watch app is installed. When you install Tera 7.83 on your iPhone, the Watch app is queued for download. Your Watch may prompt you to install it — tap the prompt on your Watch to complete the install. You can also open the Watch app on your iPhone → App Store tab and install it from there.
  2. Your Watch is worn and unlocked before you start a session.
  3. Heart Rate permissions are enabled — see the first question above.

The Watch app launches automatically when you start a session. You don't need to open it manually.

Does Tera 7.83 work without an Apple Watch?

Yes. The binaural audio, haptic pulse, and all three session phases work on iPhone alone. Apple Watch adds real-time heart rate tracking and the HR trend charts — those features require Premium and a paired Watch.

Session History & iCloud Sync

My session history disappeared after reinstalling the app

Session history syncs via iCloud. After reinstalling, open the app and wait 1–2 minutes — your sessions will reappear automatically as long as you're signed into the same Apple ID.

If sessions don't appear after a few minutes, check that iCloud is enabled: iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud, and make sure Tera 7.83 is listed and turned on.

My history isn't syncing across two devices

Both devices must be signed into the same Apple ID with iCloud enabled. Sync can take a minute or two after the app launches. Make sure you're not in Airplane Mode.

Premium

I purchased Premium but features aren't unlocked

Open the app, go to Settings → Restore Purchases. This relinks your purchase to the current install. If the issue persists, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used to make the original purchase.

Can I use Premium on multiple devices?

Yes. Premium is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID — not a subscription. Use Restore Purchases on any device signed into the same account.

Is there a subscription?

No. Premium is a single one-time payment. You pay once and own it forever, including all future updates to the Premium feature set.
